The post-pandemic years have been atypical for talent and companies around the world. Phenomena such as “The Great Resignation”, which represented the resignation of 4,4 million of people to their jobs in the United States, give a clear diagnosis: professionals They are looking for more than jobs; they want places where they can grow, develop, be motivated, and belong.
During those same years (2021 and 2022), the Apiux management team was wondering how to make a company different, how to make Yellowers feel that their work contributes to something bigger and that it belongs to them.
At that moment Yellower Share was born, the vehicle through which the Yellowers can be shareholders of Grupo Apiux and obtain a percentage of the profits that the company earns year after year.
From Cooperative to Society: What does innovation entail?
At first, Apiux CEO and Founder Francisco Figueroa thought the best way to achieve this was to convert the company into a cooperative.
“One Sunday I was reading the newspaper, I saw on the news that Friosur "It would be a cooperative, and I thought, 'Let's go for it.' Later, reviewing the legal details, we realized that, given the nature of technology companies (high staff turnover), it wouldn't be the most viable option," Figueroa said, explaining the story to all the Yellowers.

At a second stage, it was thought that the best way would be to allow the Yellowers to be direct shareholders of Apiux, but This limited the options to a very small group of people who met certain seniority and performance requirements. The idea was that many could be part of it.
The path of going public and sharing was also evaluated. stock options with collaborators, just as Big Tech and some Fintech companies in the region do, but Apiux wanted something that had the implicit innovation, explore a new path.
After many attempts, false starts and a dose of frustration Present in any innovation process, Apiux arrived at an ideal model to achieve the objective they were looking for: that a large number of Yellowers felt part of it.
Now came the challenge of communicating Yellower Share to the entire company, explain the initiative very well and invite Yellowers to join.
We Are Owners
At this point in the story you might be wondering: What is Yellower Share, in practical terms? It's a society created so that Yellowers can become shareholders of Grupo Apiux.
Those who decide to join voluntarily receive a flow of annual money with part of the profits that Apiux generates year after year. The conditions for entry are related to the length of time spent at the company and other details that have to do with commitment and a sense of belonging.
Although the main objective of this initiative is to recognize the contribution that Yellowers have in the company's economic results, little by little we realized that it goes much further, and that Yellower Share became our key story as an employer brand.
Yellower Share quickly connected with our value “We Are Owners”, with our Talent Manifesto and with one of the competencies that we measure in our performance management system: “YellOwners”.

But what if the Yellowers don't want to be part of it or don't identify with this story? No doubt. the initiative would not make much sense. That's why, in the second half of 2022, Apiux took the plunge and invited a large number of collaborators to join.
The campaign ended last 17 November of 2022, day he was baptized as the Y-Share Day, and in which 39 Yellowers made the jump and became the first generation of partners.
We had a symbolic and very emotional ceremony. There, the partners signed a document which marks a milestone in the history of the Yellowers and Apiux.

Without a doubt, the project of Yellower Share It's just getting started, and we'll see new partners joining the initiative every year. For now, we're proud to share this milestone and say, as we do in our Apiux culture: Let's go for more! 🚀🚀🚀
